About the Role

We're seeking a Health & Safety Business Partner to join our OHS team and help drive a strong safety culture at Repurpose It. You'll support the implementation of our Health & Safety Framework and provide operational guidance on critical risks, transport (including Chain of Responsibility), facility and plant safety, chemical management, and change initiatives.

Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Oversee and improve the Health & Safety Management System
  • Standardise tasks with risk assessments, procedures, and competency frameworks
  • Ensure crisis and emergency preparedness across the business
  • Support frontline teams by resolving hazards and safety issues
  • Lead change management through consultation, communication, and coaching
  • Provide health and safety support for business events
  • Act as first contact for regulators or safety incidents
  • Manage escalation, reporting, investigation, and resolution of non-conformances
  • Respond to injuries and coordinate medical support, claims, and return-to-work plans
  • Conduct safety inspections, checks, and compliance monitoring
  • Analyse safety data to guide coaching and improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with safety legislation and communicate changes
  • Consult employees on OHS requirements during workplace changes
  • Track safety trends and report insights to stakeholders
  • Participate in company performance reviews as required

About You

  • Tertiary safety qualifications (Diploma or above)
  • Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator certification
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Australian driver's licence
  • ICAM Lead Investigator qualification (preferable but not mandatory)
  • Experience in a high-risk industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives, including investigations, operational risk management, and plant, chemical, and facility control
  • Proven return-to-work (RTW) case management experience
  • Experience in leading, coordinating, or supporting change and project activities
