About The Role
The Automation Test Engineer develops and integrates test suites and performs automation testing across test phases to identify software problems and their causes and improve the quality, business value and performance of Functional, Integration and User Acceptance testing.
This position is being offered on a
12-month fixed-term contract
.
The Automation Test Engineer Is Responsible For
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using tools and languages such as C#, .NET, and SpecFlow (BDD).
- Ensure test cases align with business requirements, acceptance criteria, and realistic operational conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and accuracy throughout the development lifecycle.
- Review and provide quality assurance on automation code to maintain adherence to standards and best practices.
- Contribute to the evolution and improvement of automation testing frameworks and strategies.
- Monitor industry trends to enhance testing practices and recommend process improvements.
- Analyse and report on test activities, results, and risks, including oversight of other team members' work.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support the team in delivering high-quality business outcomes.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Perth-based software tester who values collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
Ideally, You Will Have
- Proven experience in automation testing using modern QA techniques and tools.
- Proficiency with testing and development tools such as JetBrains Rider or Visual Studio, Postman or ReadyAPI, and BitBucket (GIT).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and CloudWatch.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation and collaborate effectively.
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent experience in automation testing or .NET C# development.
- Experience working in Agile teams and environments.
- Practical knowledge of collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Slack.
