Our client is a highly respected importer and supplier of processing and packaging machinery to various sectors of the food industry.

At this time we are seeking either an experienced Field Service Technician with industrial Machinery experience, or alternatively an aspiring recently qualified Electrician who would like to be mentored into a career in industrial automation.

Your day-to-day activities will revolve around the installation, commissioning and after sales breakdown servicing of a wide range of industrial processing and packaging machinery. Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Installation and commissioning of new machinery including end-user training
  • Carrying out regular and preventative maintenance on customer sites
  • Attending to machine breakdowns as required and troubleshooting
  • Providing technical support and advice to customers remotely and in-person
  • Completion of accurate service reports

Our successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most or all the following selection criteria:

  • Relevant trade/tertiary qualifications – mechanical, electrical, mechatronic etc.
  • Previous experience in Field Service or Internal Maintenance of industrial machinery/equipment
  • Well developed fault finding process and a strong eye for detail
  • Understanding of PLCs and related automation processes
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work overtime and travel as required within NSW and interstate
  • An electrical licence (full or restricted) is essential.
