About the role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Clinical Care Lead – Occupational Therapy to join our In-Home Care team in Melbourne on a Full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our Home Care Occupational Therapists while providing high quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to our aged care clients within an In-Home Care setting. We are looking for dependable candidates who can work Monday to Friday.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the provision of Occupational Therapy clinical care, recruitment, orientation and ongoing clinical supervision of the Occupational Therapy team.
- Support and foster growth within the Occupational Therapy service, including the intake and assessment of new clients.
- Deliver clinical care in alignment with current best practice guidelines, while respecting the unique needs, preferences, and values of each client.
- Operate in accordance with Baptcare's procedures and work instructions, ensuring full compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements, including all relevant workplace health and safety legislation.
- Act responsibly to safeguard your own safety and that of others in the workplace.

You will ideally bring the following:
• Extensive experience in delivering Occupational Therapy services within the community aged care sector.
• Proven experience working within Commonwealth-funded Aged Care programs, including the Home Care Package (HCP) Program, Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) Program.
• Comprehensive understanding of the New Aged Care Act 2024 and the upcoming Support at Home program.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision, guidance, and leadership to Occupational Therapists and support staff.
• Strong experience collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams to plan and deliver holistic, client-centred care for community-based older people.
• Demonstrated competence in managing and supporting change within complex and evolving service environments.
