What You'll Be Doing

  • Performing functional capacity assessmentsand writing clinical reports.
  • Assessing clients for assistive technology (low-tech to high-tech), trialling equipment, and guiding funding applications.
  • Designing and coordinating home modifications (minor & complex depending on experience), collaborating with builders, designers, and other allied health professionals.
  • Conducting home & living support assessments, including recommendations for sustainable living arrangements (e.g. SDA, SIL, ILO where relevant).
  • Working in clients' homes and community settings as well as clinic-based work.
  • Educating clients, carers and families in use of equipment, strategies, and environmental adaptations.
  • Maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with AHPRA, NDIS (or other relevant funding schemes), and internal quality guidelines.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist (Bachelor or Master), registered with AHPRA.
  • Must have current AHPRA registration at the time of application.
  • Strong interest / experience in assistive technology, home modifications, functional capacity, home & living supports.
  • Interest in assistive technology, home modifications, or functional capacity assessments is required.
  • Excellent report-writing skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills: ability to build rapport with adults, their supports, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Driver's licence and willingness to travel for home visits.
  • Self-motivated, organised, able to manage caseload and adapt to varied client environments.
  • Early career therapist with interest in assistive technology, home modifications, functional capacity, home & living supports, looking to grow their skills.
  • This position is suitable for new graduates seeking to develop their skills in specialist areas.
  • Must have valid Australian work eligibility including work visa arrangements.
