We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager (BESS & Transmission) in Sydney to lead the end-to-end tendering process for large-scale battery energy storage systems and transmission infrastructure projects.

This role will be responsible for securing major EPC and grid connection contracts by developing competitive bids, coordinating technical and commercial inputs, and driving winning strategies aligned with market and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead full lifecycle of bids across BESS, transmission lines, substations, and grid connection projects
  • Develop bid strategies, pricing models and commercial frameworks to maximise win probability and contract value
  • Coordinate engineering, commercial, legal and delivery teams to prepare compliant, technically accurate submissions
  • Interpret tender documentation, performance standards and regulatory requirements (NER, AEMO, GPS)
  • Prepare risk registers, cost estimates and commercial proposals, including procurement inputs from OEMs and suppliers
  • Interface with network operators, regulatory agencies and clients during clarifications, presentations and negotiations
  • Drive continuous improvement in bid processes, lessons learned and market intelligence to enhance competitiveness

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in bid management within transmission, grid infrastructure or BESS projects
  • Strong understanding of tender processes, EPC contracting, and HV grid connection frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex bids with multiple stakeholders across commercial and technical disciplines
  • Experience working with network service providers, energy developers or major EPC contractors

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Commercial or related discipline (preferred)
