The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join us. You will be a key member of the Operational team working with a motivated and experienced group of professionals. The role will see you raising purchase orders, running margin reports, trouble shooting, and tracking ETS's and liaising with the pre-site and on-site teams.

You will be responsible to:

• Production Estimate a variety of turn-key projects, ranging from single home, duplexes and knock down re-build, standard and custom designs, low-rise town house developments - including take offs, requesting quotes and finalising quotes from trades and suppliers
• Accurately complete production estimates (BOQ's) within specified timelines, aligning with scope of works and client specifications
• Issue and administer purchase orders to trades & suppliers, including ETS/invoice processing
• Networking with stakeholders – up and downstream - to support targets being achieved.
• Comparison of BOQ's to budgets and escalation for approval of deviations.
• Supporting National Estimating Manager with margin analysis.
• Supporting Site Managers to address queries on projects under construction.
• Apply High Level - Knowledge of Databuild and Excel in your work
• Proactively problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Provide reports and workflow documentation

About you

You will possess strong experience within the residential construction industry specifically within Production Estimating and be experienced to a high standard across software packages including DataBuild, Blue Beam, Microsoft Office (Excel).

You will have strong technical background concerning construction materials and deliver efficiency with a calm and pragmatic approach with problem solving capacity.  Working in a supportive environment, you will enjoy your work and being part of an experienced team.  You will be organised and able to prioritise with ease and deliver time critical outcomes amid numerous distractions and demands.

You will have:

• Well-Developed Analytical skills and competency reading architectural plans, engineering reports and soil reports.
• Current working knowledge of the Residential Building Code and Australian Standards (BCA) / (NCC) required.
• Outcome/solution focus, with the drive and desire to achieve the target
• Well-developed communication skills.
• Well-developed numerical skills.
• Willing to innovate and learn new methods.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a close-knit team
