Are you mechanically minded with a passion for keeping machines running safely and efficiently? CoilSteels, a leading steel coil facility, is seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to support our site/equipment in delivering high-quality service across our site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and plant infrastructure
  • Work with the maintenance service provider to perform routine checks, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks under supervision
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and support planned maintenance activities
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards
  • Support installation or modification of mechanical components as needed
  • Keep records of completed work and assist with maintenance documentation
  • Helping the factory and warehouse where needed

What You Bring:

  • A hands-on, practical mindset and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly regarded
  • Previous work experience with slitter and shear is an advantage
  • Understanding the cranes operations is highly regarded.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical tools, equipment, and safe work practices
  • Willingness to learn and follow directions from qualified tradespersons
  • Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic welding experience is an advantage
