About the Job:

The Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, repair, replacement and introduction of machinery, plant and equipment to ensure the business is able to achieve its production demands.

The purpose of the Maintenance Electrician (Day Shift) is to provide trade assistance towards the upkeep, installation and troubleshooting of all production-based equipment, plant and machinery, with the key focus of ensuring operational efficiency targets and minimal down time.

Key Responsibilities:


•    Inspect plant, equipment and machinery to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments or repair, ensuring compliance codes are adhered too.


•    Undertake and complete regular preventative maintenance of machinery, plant and equipment


•    Undertake minor servicing of all machinery, plant and equipment


•    Diagnose functioning equipment using test equipment and tools to locate the cause of the fault


•    Plan and layout electrical wiring in accordance with company and legislative requirements


•    Assist other trades with general repair maintenance or installation of machinery


•    Provide advice and guidance to the business on whether the machinery is fit for use or presents a safety hazard

What We're Looking For:


•    Must be a trade qualified electrician with extensive experience in fault finding, PLC and automation systems (Conveyors, drives, VSD)


•    Must have experience in high pressure on demand production environment ideally within a FMCG Manufacturing Environment.


•    Knowledge and understanding of HACCP, GMP, Saf
