Be on the frontline of community safety
Play a hands-on role in reducing bushfire risk and protecting lives and
property across Manningham. Your work directly contributes to a safer, more

Use modern tools in the field
Leverage mobile platforms like ESRI Field Maps and TechnologyOne to conduct
inspections, collect data, and issue notices—combining tech with meaningful
fieldwork.

About the role
Support
the delivery of fire prevention programs that protect lives and property across
Manningham. This hands-on role involves conducting inspections, engaging with
the community, and helping ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Skills and experience
- Strong communication skills – Ability to
engage effectively with property owners, contractors, and Council staff, both
verbally and in writing. - Problem-solving and decision-making – Use
technical knowledge and discretion to assess fire hazards and recommend
appropriate actions. - Organisational and time management – Plan
tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines consistently. - Technical proficiency – Comfortable using
mobile data collection platforms such as ESRI Field Maps and TechnologyOne,
with training provided. - Teamwork and adaptability – Work
collaboratively within a team and respond flexibly to changing operational
needs. - Relevant qualifications or experience –
Completion or ongoing study in a related field, or demonstrated skills aligned
with fire prevention and inspection duties.
