About the role:

We're looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Officer who enjoys solving problems, working hands-on with technology, and supporting people across the organisation. If you're ready to take the next step in your IT career—or want to broaden your Level 1–2 support experience—this role offers variety, growth, and the opportunity to work within a supportive and fast-paced team.

As a key part of our IT team, you'll provide end-to-end technical support to staff and councillors. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Deploying and maintaining computer hardware
• Installing, configuring and supporting software
• Diagnosing and resolving user issues
• Performing routine system and IT housekeeping operations
• Assisting with network, intranet and internet support
• Maintaining accurate ICT asset inventories and helpdesk records

This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your practical skills across a broad range of technologies in a real-world, customer-driven environment.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you'll bring a strong problem-solving mindset and either hold or be working toward a relevant ICT qualification. Your understanding of modern ICT environments, combined with practical hands-on experience, will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Equally important are your interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Your ability to communicate clearly with a diverse range of people will ensure high-quality customer service and support positive relationships across the organisation.

This role is well suited to someone seeking stable, part-time work and is available 12 – 5pm Monday to Friday.
