About the Company

A long-established, privately-owned Hire company is seeking a hands-on, safety-focused Workshop Manager to oversee the maintenance and repairs of a diverse fleet — from excavators and loaders to crushers and screens. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants stability, variety, and the opportunity to make their mark.


What You'll Do
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a busy workshop.
  • Oversee repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance across a varied fleet.
  • Lead, motivate, and coordinate your team for maximum productivity.
  • Implement and maintain maintenance planning systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety legislation and quality standards.
  • Handle breakdowns, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and modifications.
  • Approve supplier invoices and manage purchasing processes.
  • Oversee incident investigations and drive prevention measures.
