Workshop Controller : Grand Motors Toyota - Gold Coast

A rare opportunity exists to join our long established Service team of professionals at Grand Motors Toyota as Workshop Controller.

This important role is an integral part of the Management team within Service Department, and is also supported by our Technical Advisors, Workshop Diagnostic team and Quality Control officer.

For someone with experience as a Workshop Manager, or Assistant Workshop Manager, this role may be for you.

Your duties would include:

  • supervising a Team of Toyota Technicians, Apprentices and Detailers on a daily basis
  • programming daily jobs
  • allocate jobs to staff accordingly to their demonstrated skill level
  • manage the skills growth of all productive staff via a skills matrix
  • motivate, measure performance and train staff to achieve best results
  • focus team on achieving high efficiency, successful diagnosis and on time delivery
  • maintain workshop compliance to Toyota high standards of discipline and process

A successful applicant would have :

  • recent experience in a similar role in a high volume Dealership
  • previous experience as a Service Advisor is an advantage
  • the ability to communicate and manage a large team to achieve their very best results
  • excellent time management and organizational skills
  • proactive decision making
  • customer centric and be totally committed to achieving results
  • the ability to have fun and create a positive work environment without compromising discipline
  • a high level of Technical ability
  • excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.

Note: only candidates with Dealership experience will be considered.
