About the team

We are seeking an experienced Peformance Test Lead to join the Non-Functional Testing team in the Payments Settlements department. This is a
non-people leading
role, focused on technical leadership and delivery within the non-functional testing domain. The Department is responsible for the ongoing development and smooth operation of Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS), the day-to-day management of Exchange Settlement Accounts, and back-office settlement of transactions arising from the Bank's open market operations and reserves management trades. The Department also provides a low-value clearing service to payments system participants for the exchange of cheque and direct entry payment files.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced
Test Lead - Non-Functional Testing
who will be a part of an FSS Platform program which involves key enhancements to NPP technology and/or infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the successful non-functional testing of applications being migrated, ensuring seamless functionality within the modernized infrastructure. The role is based in our organisations Head Office.

Key objectives

• Collaborate with project stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to understand non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Develop, review, and execute non-functional test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate application and infrastructure change outcomes.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for migrated applications/infrastructure, identifying and mitigating risks to quality.
• Implement NFT Test strategies and plans that are appropriate to address the risk and complexity of the projects or initiatives.
• Conduct end-to-end and regression testing (NFT) for applications impacted by migration activities.
• Maintain, execute test automation suites (NFT), and report findings proactively.
• Maintain test data and ensure environment conflicts are minimised through pro-active management.
• Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with the development and migration teams.
• Provide detailed test execution reports, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Provide second-level support to PS Operations and PS Settlements, this includes training, handover, and support documentations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

About you

• Proven expertise and experience in non-functional testing, especially performance testing and failover testing.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in non-functional testing across complex systems and domains
• Expertise in implementing non-functional testing frameworks and tools.
• Proficient in running performance testing and monitoring tools such as
  JMeter
  , AppDynamics and Kibana.
• Proficient in using defect and test management tools such as JIRA and QMetry.
• Extensive experience in planning, management, support and testing of non-functional changes to mission critical systems.
• Exposure to Swift Messaging and ISO/Interact service testing, Sterling testing is highly desirable.
• Experience with the NPP platform and concepts related to payments testing is advantageous.
• Ability to analyse migration impacts and translate them into effective test cases.
• Advanced experience in payments and settlements systems, services, and operations.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure modernisation concepts, even if not directly involved in infrastructure testing is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving defects.
• Effective communication skills to effectively articulate test results and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
