Duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing person-centred care of the highest standard to all residents at Cooinda, in accordance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Take an active role in getting to know our residents and their families.
  • Provide residents with social and emotional support.
  • Assist residents with the activities of daily living including communicating, eating, personal care and grooming.
  • To observe and report changes in resident's behaviour or physical condition.
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required.

The successful applicant should have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or Certificate IV Aging Support.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working as a PCA in aged care.
  • Completion of medication administration unit (HLTHPS006 - Assist Clients with Medication) and experience undertaking medication management (Desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Flexibility and availability to work rostered shifts.
  • Ability to work both in team and autonomously.
  • Ability to delegate and lead a team.

  • Up to $611.53 per fortnight to pay your mortgage, rent, school fees, etc.

  • Up to $101.92 per fortnight to pay entertainment activities like cafes, restaurants, etc.
