About the Position

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across CQUniversity. In this client-side role, you'll manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory standards.

You will oversee stakeholder engagement, procurement, contract administration, and risk management, while coordinating consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.

Position Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience leading major infrastructure projects through all phases—from design and tendering to construction, commissioning, and completion.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including funding bodies, councils, consultants, and contractors to achieve project outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of project management frameworks, with strong capabilities in scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of legislative requirements, including the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards, and local authority regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, submissions, and tenders, and to negotiate effectively in complex stakeholder environments.
