Who We Are
Yilabara is a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation specialising in the economic development of Aboriginal communities, community members, and their families. Our philosophy is based on "Creating Opportunities" across Aboriginal communities that lead to sustainable economic growth. Yilabara was established in June 2019 as a subsidiary of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC). Our purpose is to improve Aboriginal community wellbeing by building relationships within community, Government and industry that deliver real jobs in culturally responsive workplaces.

As the RAES Engagement Consultant, you will work closely with job seekers adopting a strength-based approach enabling successful re-entry into employment. - Maintain comprehensive records of jobseeker engagement using all necessary reporting platforms

- Gain a thorough understanding of the local labour market and identify where employment opportunities are available
- Work closely with other Aboriginal and community organisations meet the non-vocational needs of job seekers by providing warm referrals to specialists and generalist services as required.
- Develop individually tailored In-Work Support Plan for all placed job seekers to identify issues and skill/capability gaps as they emerge for the jobseeker or employer
