The location of position is negotiable within other sites in the Upper Darling Region of Western NSW.

The Role

The RAES Regional Manager will establish a high-performance culture committed to quality service delivery, contractual compliance, program growth and achieving Yilabara's Remote Australia Employment Services vision. The position will build effective and strategic relationships with employers, community stakeholders and funding bodies to meet Yilabara's contractual requirements.  This role will progress the strategic direction of RAES ensuring that service delivery is adaptive to local contexts, builds trust and fosters innovative, community led strategies. Through collaborative leadership, the Regional Manager ensures that Yilabara's RAES workforce are empowered, culturally safe and able to support participants to achieve meaningful outcomes.

  • Lead and oversee the implementation and integration of Yilabara's Remote Australia Employment Services model, ensuring staff are supported and accountable in delivering high-quality, respectful and culturally responsive services

  • Manage and monitor team adherence to the RAES operational guidelines, ensuring all staff deliver services that are compliant, consistent, and aligned with contractual expectations.

  • Support staff to consistently meet or exceed key deliverables, including placement milestones, caseload engagement and quality standards, through regular supervision, performance tracking, and corrective action when needed.

  • Oversee compliance with all RAES documentation and reporting requirements, ensuring consistent use of systems, and that all participant records and claims processes meet contractual and audit standards.

  • Work closely with the Community Project Manager and Officers to ensure high engagement in community projects is achieved

  • Ensure all staff complete required training, (WHS, cultural safety and role specefic training)

  • Develop the capability of Remote Employment Services staff through effective leadership, structured supervision, on-the-job coaching, performance feedback, and access to development opportunities.

  • Contribute to the design of systems, tools, and reporting processes that allow site staff to efficiently administer services, monitor progress, and report on contractual outcomes with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Guide staff in building and maintaining strategic employer and stakeholder relationships to enhance employment outcomes, while also identifying local labour market opportunities for participants.

  • Report transparently to the Operations Manager on staffing, service risks, governance issues, performance challenges, and financial outcomes, and initiate solutions as needed.

  • Participate in Yilabara complaint and feedback process ensuring that all issues are addressed accurately and efficiently as per contractual requirements.

  • Ensure staff comply with all Yilabara policies and procedures and understand their individual and collective responsibilities in maintaining service quality and compliance.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualifications relating to either Employment Services or Project Management and/or other relevant disciplines will be highly regarded
  • Highly demonstrated experience in delivering Government funded contracts such as employment services, training, disability services
  • Practical experience working within local Aboriginal Communities and supporting Indigenous people into employment would be highly regarded
  • Proven experience in successfully building strategic relationships and negotiating contracts with organisations including business and government.
  • Experience in managing commercial contracts
  • Experience in successfully managing volume and other contracts in accordance with compliance requirements, financial milestones, and reporting obligations.
  • Proven experience in effectively leading, coaching, and mentoring teams, especially across multiple site locations
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Working knowledge of WHS legislation.
  • Valid Current Drivers licence.
  • Valid National Police and Working With Children Checks
