Batch Plant Operator

Ideally, you're someone who… is an experienced Batch Plant Operator dedicated to exceeding expectations. The role will require the ability to work unsupervised in the fast-paced environment of solar construction. We are looking for a team player, someone with exceptional people skills and communication abilities to assist in developing interdepartmental relationships with both internal and external stakeholders but also willing to cover several responsibilities across the plant as required. Additionally, someone who will represent BAM BAM Pile Driving in building strong client relationships.
We are seeking someone to join our team on a casual basis but we are also committed to finding a candidate for a more permanent position who would join our projects across the state and country

Where you'll be working
Initially based on our Broad sound project in Queensland, and if we are a good fit for one another, work available on our projects across the country.
Main duties and responsibilities

Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs with dedicated programs and systems
-
Safe operation of front-end loader to weigh up materials for batching
-
Managing day-to-day administration, including stock control of raw materials and monthly forecasts
-
Participation in safety initiatives, including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting

General Plant Maintenance
-
Maintain Cleanliness of our yard and fleet

A mechanical aptitude and ability to problem-solve
-
Have a professional work ethic with a customer service-oriented attitude

Strong commitment to OH&S

Ability to work unsupervised
Essential

Current HR License

Current Front End loader License

Minimum 4-5 experience years driving an Agitator Truck

Sound Knowledge of concrete, including identifying class of concrete, slump, cement types and water/cement ratio

Construction Industry Training (white/blue Card)

Experience working with mobile concrete batch plants
Desirable
Solar construction experience
Ability to carry out concrete cylinder tests
