This includes ensuring all maintenance activities are performed for a safe and reliable operation. Your experience will also include:Ongoing commitment to workplace safetyStrong teamwork and ability to work automatously.Highly motivated and ability to be versatile.Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.Punctual and reliableAbout The RoleAs the Mechanical Fitter, you will:Operate in accordance with QMAG's Core Values at all times.Install new and maintain current equipment to ensure reliable operation.Provide feedback to supervisors and planners to assist in work scheduling.Participation in a one in eight week on call roster (Parkhurst processing only)Develop work plans to effectively complete assigned jobs including tools, equipment, and spare parts.Perform routine mechanical maintenance activities, breakdown work and problem analysis to meet both daily and long-term safety and production needs.Identify, initiate, and implement plant improvement opportunities.Undertake minor project work to improve plant performance and safety.Review work procedures and PM's and provide feedback to ensure the maintenance system remains current.Utilise the computer-based maintenance system SAP to record work history and parts usage.Promote and assist in the development of all work group personnel in safety, technical and procedural issues.The RequirementsWe are looking for people with the following:EssentialMechanical Fitter trade qualificationManual LicenceHighly DesirableExperience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and compressors.Experience in maintenance of bulk materials handling equipment including Belt Conveyors, Cone and Jaw Crushers, Slurry Pumps and Vibrating Springs.EWP – Elevated Work PlatformWorking at HeightsLF – ForkliftConfined Space – Entry and ResponsibleQMAG Benefits and CultureYou can look forward to working within an inclusive corporate culture that puts people first and always ensures our employees' health and safety.
