Junipers on the Marina is seeking a talented and qualified Chef to join our passionate team. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals committed to creating exceptional dishes and leading a busy kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes using various kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills, and ovens, ensuring impeccable presentation and consistent flavour.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop seasonal menus and special dishes.
  • Monitor food quality and portion sizes, upholding the highest standards of taste, freshness, and appearance.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive kitchen environment.
  • Oversee kitchen inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and implement strategies to minimize waste through effective portion control and storage practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, always maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events and catering functions, delivering memorable culinary experiences for guests.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
  • Proven experience as a chef for atleastr 1 year.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
