This role is responsible for leading policy development, prevention initiatives, and continuous improvement programs that support a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. You will oversee projects, provide expert advice, engage with stakeholders, and support staff to deliver outcomes that align with organisational values and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Performance
- Develop and implement policies, initiatives, and prevention programs within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate communications, events, and training to support the Professional Standards Prevention Focus Plan.
- Manage research and policy projects to evaluate and improve service delivery.
- Provide strategic, evidence-based advice and prepare clear reports and briefings for decision-makers.
Quality & Patient Experience
- Promote and role model Best Care principles in all program delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, monitor risks and trends, and prepare reports.
- Analyse evidence and research to support recommendations on equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Provide expert policy advice to committees and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records in line with legislative and departmental requirements.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Consult with stakeholders to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Provide guidance and coaching to staff and subject matter experts on policy and documentation.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Champion workplace safety and wellbeing, acting as a role model for safe and respectful behaviours.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and contribute to a positive, ethical workplace culture.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and support staff in the Professional Standards and Behaviours team.
- Encourage collaboration, open communication, and effective feedback.
- Adapt leadership style to support different working approaches.
- Guide the team in applying strategic policy concepts to real-world outcomes.
