The OpportunityThis is a great opportunity to make a difference in a reputable and growing for purpose organisation. This position is a broad role working closely with the Finance Manager and would be a great fit for someone who is passionate about the Not-for-Profit space, whilst working alongside a highly collaborative team of likeminded individuals. 

This Management Accountant role will include management reporting, budgeting & forecasting and business partnering. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage different priorities and have an enthusiastic and can-do attitude to work. Keen commercial acumen and strong interpersonal skills are a must. This role sits in a close knit team who care about the work that they do, and they are looking for a long term fit for to join the team. 

The Challenge

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the budget program, including the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Analyse data and develop financial models.
  • Analyst and communicate key variances, opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare and review funder budgets, acquittals and performance reports.
  • Working on the correct recognition of revenue/grants accounting;
  • Analyse financial results, trends, and KPIs to generate insights.
  • Liaise proactively with non-finance employees (esp. Program Leads) ensuring they meet deadlines and comply with finance process requirements.
  • Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the funding pipeline.
  • Assisting the broader finance team with other ad hoc duties.

  • You have relevant experience working in a broad accounting role
  • You are CA/CPA qualified
  • Superior financial or management accounting experience
  • You have a passion and interest towards the Not-for-Profit sector
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with non-finance stakeholders
  • You are systems savvy with strong MS excel skills, including building models.
  • You have a go-getter personality and enjoy stakeholder engagement.
