Step into a senior Product Manager role where you'll shape high-impact digital products in a complex national security environment. Working at EL2-equivalent level, you'll lead discovery through to launch, partnering with user researchers and cross-functional teams to ensure products genuinely meet user needs while aligning to broader organisational strategy and policy.

Location: Canberra, ACT (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 12 months, with 2 x 12-month extension options

Security Clearance Requirement: NV1 

Closing Date: Thursday, 11 December 2025 – 10am (Canberra Time)

Key Responsibilities (Essential Tasks)

  • Drive product strategy, roadmap and planning across multi-disciplinary delivery teams, from discovery through to launch.
  • Analyse user needs, market trends and partner/supplier offerings from an ROI and build-vs-buy perspective.
  • Ensure clear and testable product requirements, success measures and timelines are defined and met across multiple divisions.
  • Assess and coordinate supplier/industry partner contributions to ensure cohesive, high-value product outcomes.

Key Criteria

  • Strong track record delivering technology products in large organisations, using modern product management principles and delivery models.
  • Deep understanding of what makes a great internal and external user experience, and how to capture, assess and act on user feedback.
  • Demonstrated experience leading agile, user-centred multi-disciplinary teams while effectively engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience with technology delivery in regulatory or decision-making environments and delivering solutions for Australian Government/industry contexts.
