Downer Professional Services is proud to be Defence's strategic workforce partner within Joint Systems Division, following a competitive tender process. As part of this win, Team Downer MSP now support two critical system program offices within the JC4S Branch:

  • Integrated Command, Control and Communications Systems Program Office (IC3 SPO)
  • Integrated Warfighting Networks Systems Program Office (IWN SPO)

These SPOs deliver secure, integrated communications and enable seamless coordination across the Australian Defence Force. This is a proud milestone for our team as we continue to drive mission-critical capability forward.

We are seeking permanent Product Manager based in Canberra to support this Integrated Work Package.

What You'll Do
 

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including but not limited to:
 

  • Provision of product management services to support capability delivery
  • Manage and maintain product schedules, documentation including review and development of in-service support plans 
  • Coordinate and manage product governance activities and contract change proposals 
  • Oversee and review planned and unplanned maintenance schedules and future sustainment schedules
  • Develop and maintain BAU support, monthly reporting and other services to ensure capability and project are aligned to engagement standards


What You'll Bring
 

  • Experience working in a Defence environment and managing defence systems, products or processes will be essential

  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and driving deliverables and priorities 

  • Bachelor's or certifications in a related field of study

  • Certifications in Agile, PRINC2, PMBOK will be highly regarded

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent stakeholder management

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
