Your new company

A federal government department has engaged a consultancy firm which is working with a select group of suppliers to source TSPV-cleared professionals for a range of high-priority national security initiatives. Over the past year, more than 40 specialists have been placed into these programs, with plans to onboard an additional by the end of the financial year. There's significant opportunity for growth and contribution.

Your new role

Successful Applicants will operate under the direction of a Senior Business Analyst or Program Manager to lead the investigation, analysis, and documentation of business processes, systems, and requirements. Your efforts will help improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support the sustainability of critical government systems.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across business units, project managers, system architects, and developers to define and refine specifications and acceptance criteria. The role requires a flexible mindset, balancing both predictive (plan-driven) and adaptive (agile) approaches depending on the project needs.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Minimum 3 years (Level 4) or 5 years (Level 5) experience as a Business Analyst
  • Proven ability to investigate complex and ambiguous business situations
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis, stakeholder engagement, and business process improvement
  • Experience working within both agile and traditional project environments
  • Ability to develop and gain agreement on business requirements and recommendations at all levels of an organisation
