We are looking for an Educator willing to work Max Term - Monday - Wednesday (8 hours shift each day)  and Thursday  (5 hours shift)

As an educator you'll work as part of a small team of early childhood professionals to deliver SDN's innovative, high quality and inclusive program for children, while building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families, and delivering the support of the SDN village to their lives.

You will be a certificate -qualified educator with a special interest in diversity and inclusion, a passion for inclusive early childhood practice and a willingness to grow and learn.

About the team

The team at SDN Pyrmont share and celebrate the unique cultural experiences of all children and adults , promoting empathy, understanding, respect and a strong sense of community. SDN Pyrmont is a small 38 place centre with a tight-knit Village feel located in a beautiful heritage listed building close to buses, light rail and walking distance to the CBD

About the role

Part Time contract - 29 hours across Monday to Thursday Pre school Room

Your role will involve collaborating with children about their interests and supporting them by creating a stimulating environment. As well as supporting the physical needs of children, you will assist in the observation and evaluation of the children's development, creating an environment which ensures trust and security and provides flexible routines and smooth transitions.

You will need

  • Experience in a similar role
  • A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards
  • Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification
  • Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs
