The Opportunity:

As part of our growth, Talis is looking for an individual at mid-level to join our Environment Section on a full-time permanent basis. This is an opportunity for an environmental consultant to join a growing team and work with existing and established staff across a broad range of projects.

The role will be within our Approvals and Assessments team and will include:

  • Approvals and impact assessment;
  • Audit and compliance;
  • Monitoring and Management;
  • Closure; and
  • Opportunities to contribute to a range of GIS tasks.

About you:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • 3-5 years' experience across a range of industries and demonstrated experience in dealing with project approvals, Environmental Impact Assessment, statutory advice, management plans and mine closure;
  • Experience in working within a consultancy or working on site is a bonus but not a must;
  • Audit qualifications will also be a bonus;
  • Experience in coordinating/completing complex technical assessments, records and written reports;
  • Expertise in dealing with environmental and mining approvals as well as mine closure;
  • Experience with GIS is an advantage; and
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
