Core Lithium Limited (ASX: CXO), is an Australian lithium company and the 100% owner of the Finniss Lithium Operation in the Northern Territory. Our purpose is to become a sustainable, low-cost supplier of high-quality spodumene concentrate for decades to come.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of environmental approvals for Core Lithium, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and supporting the timely development of both projects and operations.

Reporting to the Project Director you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the lodgement of Northern Territory and Commonwealth environmental approvals for project developments and amendments to existing approvals.
  • Facilitating and maintaining proactive engagement and relationships with relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Providing strategic input into life-of-mine planning and forecasting, with a focus on long-term approvals.
  • Identifying approval schedule risks, mitigation measures and monitor approval risk profile.
  • Interpret and advise on legislation, government guidelines and approval processes to internal stakeholders.

Whilst Perth based, the role will be required to undertake regular travel to Darwin and the Finniss Site.

About you

As a trusted advisor within the business, you will have:

  • 10+ years' experience in environment approvals management within the mining sector
  • In depth knowledge of environmental legislation and mining regulatory frameworks
  • A proven track record in navigating complex approvals and building effective relationships with regulatory bodies
  • The ability to think on your feet, problem solve and think strategically, aligning approvals with broader business objective.
  • Experience within the Northern Territory will also be highly regarded.
