Overview

Our national Major Projects & Approvals team work on a diverse range of renewable energy, resources and infrastructure projects, bringing innovative approaches to approvals strategy, impact assessment, cumulative assessments, and the communication of complex scientific matters.

We're looking for someone with your depth of experience to join our national Major Projects & Approvals team in Perth to lead a diverse range of mining, energy and infrastructure projects. You'll work with technical specialists who love to excel, lead the delivery of high-quality outcomes for clients across Western Australia, and have a voice to shape and grow the practice.

Responsibilities
  • You'll join a leading team and lead and support primary and secondary environmental approvals under WA environmental and planning legislation for projects across diverse industries.
  • This is an opportunity to showcase and further develop your project management skills and to play a key role in the development of our business in Western Australia.
  • You'll be supported by specialist teams across EMM and leaders who'll help you deliver and develop.
  • Develop in many ways; whether through structured development programs, mentoring or on the job with industry leaders, you'll have the support you need to grow.
  • Mentor other EMMers on their development journey.
  • Enjoy autonomy, flexibility and support to balance all aspects of your life.
  • With offices across Australia, you'll be able to flex with hybrid working at its best.
What you'll bring to have impact
  • A minimum of 7 years plus experience in environmental management, environmental impact assessments and approvals.
  • An understanding of environmental and planning legislation at a State and Federal level.
  • Experience delivering projects across mining, energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • A strong network and relationships with clients and regulators.
  • Project management skills that have helped you achieve high-quality delivery outcomes.
  • Highly developed research, analysis and report writing skills.
  • You do what is right for your stakeholders to deliver what is true as opposed to popular.
  • A passion for mentoring early career team members.
