The role
Expression of Interest -
Graduate Electrical Engineer
to join and support our Brisbane based engineering team.
Reporting to the Electrical Department Manager you will provide technical support under professional supervision in relation to developing and implementing electrical systems across various projects.
- Under supervision assist engineers in the detailed design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, communication and control systems
- Contribute to the development of electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and project requirements
- Conduct basic technical analysis and calculations to support electrical design decisions, including load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and equipment sizing
- Gain proficiency in electrical engineering software under the guidance of engineers
- Support project teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in professional development opportunities, training programs, and mentorship initiatives to enhance technical skills, expand industry knowledge and progress towards professional certification.
You will have
- Tertiary Degree – Electrical Engineering or related field - Essential
- Academic background in electrical engineering, with course work or projects related to mining or heavy industry preferred
- Undergraduate/Vacation Work in a similar industry or a desire to work in mining, metals and minerals
- 1-2 years' experience as a Graduate in a similar industry - Advantageous
- Software – ETAP – Desirable
