LA Construction Company are family owned and operated since 1980, specialising in the construction of all types of Retaining Walls, detailed and bulk excavation works, our services include Stormwater Works, OSD, Rainwater Tanks, Concrete works & Design / Engineering. We are company that has been built from the ground up becoming a reputable and reliable business through its service to the civil, residential, and commercial sectors with the dedication to the task at hand, excellent workmanship, and a client comes first attitude.

We are now currently looking for an estimator/Project Coordinator with minimum 2 years' experience in the similar role.

As an estimator, you will be involved in the following, but not limited to-

  • Supporting and working closely with Project Management / Estimating & Operations Team with day-to-day tasks.
  • Undertaking quantity take-offs & detailed estimates using Estimating Software such as Bluebeam.
  • Assist in coordinating tasks and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Communication and team collaboration – working closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure project goals are met at highest standards
  • Monitoring project costings & Monthly progress claims.
  • Assisting in materials & sub-contractor procurement
  • Responsible for the flow of information from clients to the team
  • Assist with WHS compliance
  • Tender & other documentation filing (on OneDrive)
  • Booking engineering and council inspections
  • Reviewing design and engineering plans
  • Undertaking site visit/meetings along with the PM.

To be considered for this role, you must -

  • Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Practical experience in construction is an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Previous experience with Cubit Estimating & Buildsoft Software would be advantageous
  • A willingness to learn with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously and part of a team
  • High level of written and verbal communication
  • Professionally groomed and presented
  • Proactive approach and take ownership of tasks provided is essential
  • Resourceful and produce solutions

Working hours

Full time Monday to Friday

Office based in Marsden Park NSW 2765

Pay Range

Annual base salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, to be discussed during the recruitment process and determined based on skills and experience.
