ABOUT US

268 Fund is a fund management company specialising in secured property and development investments across Australia. We provide wholesale investors access to exclusive, property-backed mortgage and equity opportunities.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a
Fund Accountant
to manage the financial operations of our funds and corporate entities. This role will suit an experienced and proactive accounting professional who enjoys working in-house and values precision, structure, and proactive financial management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and reconcile fund and company accounts, including monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Oversee cashflow, forecasting, and budgeting across multiple entities.
  • Process investor distributions, borrower loan statements, and fund payments accurately and on time.
  • In collaboration with external Accountants p
    repare and lodge BAS, CAR reports, and other compliance documentation.
  • Manage payroll processing in Xero.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Liaise with external accountants & auditors to ensure compliance with all reporting obligations.
  • Support management with financial insights, variance analysis, and board-level reporting.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA/IPA qualifications advantageous).
  • Proven experience in fund management, property, or financial services accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of cashflow, budgeting, and tax management principles.
