Middlemount Mine is an open cut mine located approximately 90km North-East of Emerald and only about 7km out of town

Your new role

  • Work in consultation with the Maintenance Planner and Project Manager to ensure the Maintenance Schedule supports company requirements and objectives
  • Coordinate the safe and cost effective maintenance of all pumps and LV equipment
  • Ensure maintenance and repairs are executed within safety, time and cost parameters and in accordance with company requirements and direction from Management
  • Ensure Purchase Orders are raised for outstanding defects
  • Ensure all parts are used or are returned for credit in a timely manner
  • Ensure that machine information and maintenance tasks are timely and accurately recorded
  • Lead and mentor Maintenance crews to ensure output is in line with company priorities and objectives

What you'll need to succeed

  • Trade certificate in Light Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent as well as previous experience and demonstrated success within a similar role
  • Current Mining Supervisor – G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3)
  • Current Carry out the Risk Management Process – G2
  • Current Queensland driver licence
  • Experience with heavy earth moving equipment.
