We are seeking a professional Career Development Consultant to join our thriving, community-driven organisation based in Broken Hill, NSW.
The position is being offered as a full time, fixed term contract until 30 June 2026, with a possible extension.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and Refer: Actively market the program and develop strong relationships with external partners, such as schools and TAFE to generate referrals.
- Case Management: Conduct initial interviews, assess training needs and provide ongoing case management to ensure participants are engaged and progressing towards their career goals.
- Holistic Support: Connect participants with relevant community services, including health, accommodation and other support services.
- Training and Employment Pathways: Work closely with TAFE NSW, local High Schools and the Skillset Recruitment team to ensure training programs align with participants' career aspirations and facilitate pathways to employment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate participant records, complete fortnightly reports and meet all funding partner requirements.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to engage and motivate young people
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals in achieving their full potential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Current Class C Driver's licence
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Flexibility to regularly travel to Far West Orana locations using a company-supplied vehicle, with overnight stays as required
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Experience in case management or a related field
- Knowledge of training and employment pathways, including partnerships with educational and community organisations
- Experience in recruitment, vocational education and training or employment services
