About the role:
As the Administration Assistant in Ballarat Community Health's Mental Health Services team, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of vital mental health services across the Central Goldfields and Grampians regions. By managing referrals, appointment bookings, data entry, and client enquiries, you'll ensure smooth and efficient service delivery, allowing clinicians to focus on providing high quality care. Your work will directly impact the experience of clients accessing support, helping them feel welcomed, informed, and connected. What you will bring to the team:
Proven experience in, or a passion for, health or community services administration, with the ability to manage referrals, client enquiries, and appointment scheduling efficiently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach when interacting with clients, families, and team members.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting clinicians and non-clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, show initiative, and maintain reliability and punctuality.
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, ensuring inclusive and respectful support for all clients and stakeholders.
