As a Technician at Talbot Auto Doors, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated doors, gates and shutters across the greater Brisbane region. This full-time role is a hands-on position that requires a strong technical aptitude and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with our customers to ensure their Auto Door, Gate and Roller Shutter assets are operating safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

  • Install, service, and repair a variety of automatic door, gate and shutter systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical, mechanical, and software components
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to prevent malfunctions
  • Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards

What we're looking for

  • Ideally a minimum 1-2 years' experience as an Automatic Door/Gate/Shutter Technician or in a similar trade type role
  • Practical hands on aptitude with a solutions orientated aptitude
  • A sound working knowledge (or an ability to learn) of automated door, shutters and gates assets
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • A valid driver's licence
