The role:

  • Administer the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access platform and associated services to deliver the enterprise Secure Web Gateway.
  • Apply and manage security focused SWG policies, including URL filtering, threat prevention, and application control.
  • Configure, verify, and maintain redundancy and failover mechanisms to ensure continuous availability of the service.
  • Apply upgrades, patches and system releases using the ITIL Release Management process.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network, application and system internet connectivity issues.
  • Implement and maintain role-based access control policies for system administration.
  • Collaborate and communicate with project managers, various technology domain stakeholders and application owners to ensure successful operational outcomes.
  • Document, review and maintain accurate technical artefacts, with a focus on change processes.
  • Analyse and refine existing configurations and policies for improvements.
  • User and group provisioning and management.
  • Develop and maintain exclusion policies, rules and reporting.

To be successful in this role you will be a technical specialist who enjoys working collaboratively within a team. You will have a strong understanding of enterprise systems and a demonstrated ability to configure and document them according to best practice.

Your experience should include expertise in:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and apply Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, particularly incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management.
  • Experience with modern Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions, preferably Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, including skills in physical firewalls, URL filtering, threat prevention, and SSL/TLS decryption.
  • A strong practical understanding of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and VPN technologies.
  • Working knowledge of both Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux server environments and how they interact with network security services.
  • Experience contributing your technical skills and knowledge to ICT projects to support the delivery of successful outcomes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting application configuration and interoperability in Windows 10+ enterprise environments, including related software distribution systems.

We are also seeking candidates with strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to assess and evaluate technical requirements. You will have excellent communication, liaison and negotiation skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
