About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Storage Engineer
to provide hands-on expertise in managing and optimising
Dell PowerScale (Isilon)
environments for enterprise-scale, high-performance workloads. This short-term engagement will involve deep technical delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and documentation aligned with structured change management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, administer, and optimise Dell PowerScale/Isilon storage systems to support large-scale and performance-critical workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across multi-protocol (SMB/NFS) storage systems, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide technical insights and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, adhering to organisational change and configuration management frameworks.
  • Implement and monitor storage security, data protection, and lifecycle management measures, including system hardening, replication, and recovery processes.

Desirable Skills

  • Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise storage security and compliance practices.
  • Excellent communication and documentation capabilities.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in enterprise-scale Dell PowerScale/Isilon environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with storage performance optimisation, multi-protocol (SMB/NFS) configuration, and data protection.
  • Ability to operate in structured, change-controlled environments.
