Vectiq
is seeking an experienced
Storage Infrastructure Specialist
to support a key government client in Canberra.

Role Details

  • Location:
    Canberra, ACT (onsite 5 days per week)
  • Duration:
    3 months contract |
    Hours:
    40 per week
  • Clearance:
    Baseline
    or higher
  • Schedule:
    Standard business hours (7am–7pm window)
  • Start Date:
    01 December 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a full audit of the current storage setup, identifying performance and efficiency improvements.
  • Design and document architecture diagrams, capacity plans, and runbooks.
  • Optimise cluster configuration, storage tiering, and data services (SmartPools, SnapshotIQ, SyncIQ).
  • Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to ICT staff for long-term operational continuity.

Technical Scope

  • Enhance performance across PowerScale/Isilon clusters and NAS protocols (SMB/NFS).
  • Improve scalability, reliability, and data protection practices.
  • Document storage architecture and recommend future enhancements.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise with
    Dell PowerScale/Isilon (OneFS 8.x/9.x)
    .
  • Strong background in
    enterprise-scale NAS
    and storage optimisation.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Python/Bash scripting
    experience for automation is highly regarded.
