Murmur Piano Bar is looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead our dedicated team.

About Us:

Murmur is a Melbourne hospitality institution, over our twenty year lifespan the venue has evolved from an award winning destination for classic and classy cocktails into the most loved Piano Bar the city has to offer.

Murmur is a nod the the great piano bars in New York, this is not your average low-key background level Jazz bar, Murmur in an interactive, highly energetic venue with a dedicated fanbase of local, interstate and international guests always looking forward to their next visit and what the venue has in store.

Who we are looking for:

  • A service-based manager who thrives on being front and centre as well as back of house, this requires a positive attitude and dedication to nurturing the team to learn and grow and be the best that they can be.
  • Experience with all operations, menu development & costing, recruitment, reporting and setting/meeting budgets.
  • A talent for multi-tasking and problem solving.
  • Communication is essential to be successful within this venue - alongside this you will need to be confident, organised, and thoughtful.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of, and appreciation for service, front of house operations, cocktails, spirits, and a passion for unparalleled service.

As a part of the larger hospitality group, you will have a large support network available, from both our operations team and fellow Venue Managers.  We believe in open and honest communication, personal and professional development and of course, a good work/life balance.
