Australia nbn™ Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia's future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia's future. With us you'll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there's equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Procurement Manager reporting to the Executive Manager Procurement.

A bit about your role

As a Procurement Manager at nbn, you will play a vital role in enabling the delivery of Australia's digital future by securing the goods and services that support the design, build, and operation of our Field and Wireless networks. Reporting to the Executive Manager Procurement, you will be a trusted advisor who brings commercial insight and strategic thinking to every sourcing decision. You will lead the planning, sourcing, contracting, and governance of supplier engagements, ensuring that every partnership delivers sustainable value and aligns with nbn's broader goals.

You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, managing complex sourcing transactions, and leading negotiations that balance commercial outcomes with long-term relationships. Your work will be grounded in collaboration—partnering closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure clarity, alignment, and shared success. With a strong focus on program management, you will deliver high-quality commercial outcomes while supporting the continuous improvement of procurement practices across the organisation.

A bit about you

You are a commercially astute procurement professional with a passion for purposeful work and a collaborative mindset. With proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles, you bring a deep understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management. You are confident navigating complex negotiations and thrive when translating commercial detail into clear, actionable plans.

Your communication style is inclusive and engaging, enabling you to build trust and influence across diverse teams. You are comfortable working independently, yet you value the strength of collective thinking and shared accountability. With a background in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, IT or a related field, you bring both technical knowledge and emotional intelligence to your role. You are driven by outcomes, but always with an eye on sustainability, stakeholder alignment, and the bigger picture. At nbn, you'll find a place where your voice matters, your expertise is valued, and your work makes a real difference.
