We have an exciting opportunity for a Document Governance & Systems Officer to join our Networks team in SA, VIC, QLD or WA on a permanent fulltime basis. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of our national document library and governance systems.

Reporting to the RCA Governance & Support Lead, you will manage and improve the SharePoint-based document library, support compliance and assurance systems, and provide technical and operational support across the team. You'll be a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical administrators, and RCA teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the SharePoint-based document library, including structure, permissions, metadata, and document lifecycle processes
• Engage with stakeholders to review and uplift documentation across its full lifecycle—enhancing content quality, ownership, metadata, and compliance, while ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting
• Develop and implement document compliance and assurance strategies that identify and mitigate risks, such as overdue documents, incorrect lifecycles, and governance gaps—ensuring alignment with regulatory and organisational standards
• Support compliance and assurance systems including reporting, action tracking, control attestations, risk assessments, and audit coordination, while actively promoting a culture of compliance across the business
• Support and manage RCA systems including SAGOC, prescribed incidents, and compliance platforms, ensuring effective operation, oversight, and reporting
• Coordinate BU training logistics, manage team inboxes, and provide general administrative support

Your background

• Strong understanding of document governance and lifecycle management
• Proficiency in SharePoint, metadata application, and document formatting
• Experience with compliance and assurance systems, ideally within regulated industries
• High IT literacy across Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel), Windows, and document systems
• Technical writing and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with risk/control platforms such as Vigilant
• Basic finance and procurement system knowledge

Networks manages and operates local distribution networks and transmission pipelines that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia. 

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics.  Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.  We need people who are courageous, nimble and ready to make a positive impact.
