This role will see you working with customers and staff, liaising with external legal providers and supporting legal matters such as contracts, public access to information and privacy as well as supporting Council's governance team with policies, procedures and other governance matters.

Essential:

  • Certificate/Diploma re Administration, Governance or Legal Studies or higher qualification
  • Excellent administrative skills and experience
  • Familiarity with legal practices and concepts
  • Working experience with corporate systems such as MS office and electronic document management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • High level interpersonal and teamwork skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience using Infocouncil software
  • Previous government experience
