The Role

As our HR Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in attracting and securing top talent across technical and non-technical roles. You'll also provide generalist HR support, contributing to the full employee lifecycle, compliance, and exciting HR projects. You will play a vital role in shaping our employer brand and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead full cycle recruitment processes
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and sourcing strategies
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, and referrals
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role and culture
  • Maintain and optimise our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Support employer branding initiatives, university outreach, and diversity goals.
  • Assist with workforce planning and recruitment metrics reporting and analysis.
  • Support onboarding processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide generalist HR support including onboarding, policy development, and employee queries.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Qualification in HR or a related field
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian workplace relations laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Passion for candidate experience and employer branding.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and values-driven mindset.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience in aerospace, defence, or manufacturing industries
  • Driver's License, preferred (due to the location of our office).
