Job Description

Civil Engineer – Rectify Group Salary - $90,000 Super fuel and toll allowances Location Munster Terrace, North Melbourne VIC 3051 Rectify Group ) is an Australian company specialising in chemical underpinning, ground engineering, and asset remediation for residential, commercial, industrial, and heritage structures. With over 50 years of combined industry experience, the company is backed by a team of registered Structural Engineers, Geologists, Project Managers, Supervisors, and Technicians. As a registered Residential and Commercial Builder, Rectify Group offers high-quality, warranted workmanship supported by the latest international technology and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Analysis & Surveying

o Conducts site visits and surveys to assess existing structural conditions and determine feasibility of rectification and underpinning projects. o Analyses ground conditions and structural integrity for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. o Collaborates with geologists and technicians to evaluate subsurface data and site requirements.

  • Design & Technical Specifications

o Undertakes structural and geotechnical calculations to develop effective rectification and underpinning designs. o Develops detailed project specifications and provides technical input on design solutions. o Supports the development of engineered solutions using chemical underpinning and specialist grouting techniques.

  • Construction Planning & Quality Control

o Determines appropriate construction methods, materials, and quality standards for each project. o Oversees rectification works, ensuring compliance with structural engineering principles and project specifications. o Records and documents all rectification tasks and design adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Environmental & Regulatory Compliance

o Evaluates environmental impact of projects and ensures all activities comply with relevant legislation and safety standards. o Ensures construction and remediation works are performed in accordance with Australian building codes and regulations.

  • Project Execution & Coordination

o Works closely with project managers, structural technicians, and site supervisors to ensure smooth delivery of engineering solutions. o Assists in the coordination of team operations across multiple sites in Southeastern Australia (including VIC, SA, TAS). o Provides technical guidance and mentorship to field staff as required.

  • Equipment & Site

Work o Performs or supervises maintenance of mechanical equipment used for underpinning and remediation. o Operates in physically demanding environments, often outdoors, and is prepared to travel regularly and work weekends when necessary. Skills & Experience

  • Bch Degree in Civil Engineering as qualification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably within construction or ground engineering.
  • Experience in chemical underpinning, ground stabilisation, and/or grouting (essential).
  • Familiarity with structural repair techniques and remediation methods (desired).
  • Ability to manage technical documentation and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in surveying, CAD design, and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent).
