The Opportunity

It's an exciting time to join our business We've got a pipeline of diverse capital projects in the Illawarra and across the wider Manufacturing portfolio.

Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Maintenance Systems Administrator in our Services and Manufacturing Excellence team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers. Our goal is to achieve continuous digital transformation, manufacturing excellence and continuous process improvement to support our business and customers now and in the future.

In this opportunity, you will join an experienced and close-knit team who are responsible for the development and curation of our Maintenance Planning Systems across our Manufacturing portfolio. As someone who enjoys working with data and who has an eye for detail, this role will see you supporting all aspects of system administration. You'll be supported and mentored by your team, who are genuinely invested in seeing you succeed.

This role would suit someone who has a background in maintenance who may be interested in broadening their scope into specialist systems expertise and process management. There will be opportunity to be involved in key projects and upgrades, allowing exposure to new digital technologies and software to support continuous learning and personal development.

What Will You Do?

You'll be a critical part of the team by taking ownership and acting as central point of coordination, you'll:

  • update and maintain key data in our Maintenance Planning System (we use SAP)
  • work closely with our plant maintenance teams to resolve problems and issues
  • be involved in system upgrades and new software integrations
  • participate in the ongoing development of asset management/maintenance and improvement projects

More About You

It is likely you'll have a technical background and some experience within a maintenance function, you'll also have:

  • high attention to detail and the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • excellent communication (written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • sound experience and knowledge of computers and software applications
  • an interest in IT systems and integrations or a willingness to learn
