About the Role

Join the DFES Bushfire Centre of Excellence—Western Australia's premier hub for bushfire management, knowledge sharing, training, and research.

We're seeking a leader with a passion for people and outcomes to help drive the future of bushfire management in WA.  In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Cultural Fire Program and lead the experiential learning portfolio, translating knowledge and best practice into impactful products and services tailored to the needs of our diverse stakeholders.

You'll build and nurture strong relationships across the bushfire sector—including partner agencies, local governments, Traditional Custodians, volunteers, and communities—ensuring collaboration and innovation shape our approach to stakeholder engagement

This role presents a leadership opportunity to make a lasting difference in WA's unique and evolving landscape. We're looking for a respected and strategic leader with a proven track record in delivering complex projects and programs, and the interpersonal and communication skills to strengthen relationships, inspire teams and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture.
