About Client:
Yanchep Central Dental is a modern, family-friendly dental clinic located in the Yanchep Central Shopping Centre, WA. The practice provides comprehensive general, preventive, cosmetic, emergency, and family dental care, delivered by a warm, community-minded team focused on exceptional patient experience and clinical excellence.
Looking for:
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Yanchep Central Dental. You'll optimise patient flow, support a high-performing clinical team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainable growth. The ideal candidate brings proven practice management experience (dental or broader health), strong commercial acumen, and a patient-centred leadership style.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and oversee daily operations to ensure smooth delivery of all dental services.
- Coordinate appointment schedules, provider availability, and chair utilisation to optimise patient flow.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training, and performance management of staff.
- Maintain infection control standards, sterilisation compliance, and workplace health and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, record-keeping, and dental industry regulations.
- Manage budgets, invoicing, HICAPS claims, daily reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll coordination.
- Monitor and report on KPIs including production, collections, recalls, and case acceptance.
- Maintain accurate patient and clinical records using practice management software.
- Drive patient experience initiatives including recalls, reactivations, treatment plan acceptance, and feedback resolution.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and arrange servicing of dental equipment and facility maintenance.
- Prepare performance and financial reports for practice owners and contribute to business improvement initiatives.
Skills and Attributes:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Health Practice Management or a related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years' experience in dental or healthcare practice management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental operations, billing systems, and health compliance regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High-level organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and MS Office Suite.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, meet targets, and improve practice performance.
- Commitment to providing outstanding patient service and fostering a positive team culture.
Job Type & Salary:
- Type: Full-time, permanent position
- Salary: Competitive base salary in the range of $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work as required by the business.
