Landscape Designer / Administrative Manager
At RYCOR Landscapes, we specialise in crafting high-end residential outdoor spaces across Melbourne and surrounding areas. Our work is driven by a deep appreciation for design, nature, and quality craftsmanship—and we believe that exceptional landscapes start with a strong design vision brought to life through well-executed & planned construction.
As demand for our design services continues to grow, we're looking for a Landscape Designer / Administrative Manager to join our close-knit team. This unique, hybrid role offers a rare opportunity to combine your love for landscape design with your strength in project coordination and operations. Whether you're early in your career and looking to grow, or bring many years of experience, we'll help to support and train you every step of the way.
About the Role
This is a pivotal role to the growth of our business. You'll play a central part in ensuring our construction projects run smooth, with a focus on future planning for all upcoming jobs in the pipeline. You'll work closely with both of the company's directors, contributing to the creative process while overseeing the day-to-day logistics that bring our landscapes to life.
Your key responsibilities may include:
Design Contribution – Support our growing design work through plant selection, concept development, drafting assistance, and client presentations.
Project Oversight – Coordinate schedules, timelines, and on-site needs to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
Quoting & Estimating – Assist with preparing accurate quotes that reflect both design intent and build feasibility.
Invoicing & Admin – Manage purchase orders, invoicing, and essential project documentation to keep things running efficiently.
Client Communication – Be a friendly, professional point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Improvement – Help us refine our systems and workflows as we grow, with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and creativity.
This is a flexible, dynamic role that we'll shape around your strengths, passions, and areas for growth.
What We're Looking For
A passion for landscape design and horticulture—you love plants, outdoor spaces, and creating meaningful environments.
Strong organisational and administrative skills—you're comfortable juggling details, deadlines, and team coordination.
An interest in both creative design and project delivery—you want to understand how beautiful landscapes are actually built.
Experience in construction admin, design, or operations is a looked upon favourably.
A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Comfortable with digital tools like quoting software, Microsoft Office, and ideally Xero (or happy to learn).
Most importantly: a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute.
What You'll Get
Training and mentorship across both operations and landscape design—grow your skillset on all fronts.
Creative input on exciting, high-end residential landscape projects.
Exposure to the full lifecycle of landscape construction—from concept to completion.
A tight-knit, down-to-earth team that values initiative, collaboration, and having a bit of fun along the way.
Flexible working arrangements – we're open to part-time, full-time, or tailored setups for the right person.
Career development – this is a growth role with potential to evolve into a more senior position over time.
If you're looking for a role that blends creative design with real-world project coordination, and want to be part of a business where your ideas, initiative, and passion will be valued—we'd love to hear from you.
Let's build something amazing together.
To apply, send your resume and a cover letter on why this role is of interest to you. We're excited to meet you
